2022-01-04

Childhood is the perfect time to spend it outdoors, without phones or tablets in your hands. It is worth ensuring that our kids - not only children, but also students - spend as much time as possible outdoors. And although the most fun you can have outdoors is in the summer, there's nothing to stop you from going sledding or making a snowman in the cold. Backyard games can go on all year long! What games are used for physical activity among the youngest ones? Read our article and find out what fun you can make for your kids.

TUG-OF-WAR

Tug-of-war is a game as old as time! Its rules are trivially simple, yet they always bring a lot of fun and laughter. The game simply involves pulling a taut rope to one side. Of course, the team whose stronger line up accomplishes this wins. Do you know that tug-of-war is considered a sport? Indeed! It is worth taking an interest in, as regularly practiced it strengthens the physical strength of children. The advantage of tug-of-war is that you can also do this game in winter - imagine how much laughter you'll get from falling into the white powder!

TUG-OF-WAR ROPE

SKIPPING ROPE

Skipping rope is an indispensable attribute of every little girl. Great for solo use as well as many group backyard games. The whole point of the game is that two people stagger the skipping rope, and the kids have to jump over it. And while at first glance it seems like a fairly simple activity, believe us it can be difficult at times. Skipping is a true test of agility, speed and fitness of the lower limbs.

DODGEBALL

Who among us hasn't played the game of dodgeball, hands up! No one? This doesn't surprise us at all. This popular backyard game can unite generations - to this day it is very often used in physical education classes and somewhat resembles handball. Two teams meet on the field and face each other. By means of a handball ball the so-called "mother" has to hit the people from the opposite team. The player touched by the ball must get off the field. The team that stays with the most members wins.

HOPSCOTCH

Hopscotch is a backyard game that doesn't need to be explained to anyone. You only need chalk to start it, although now there are also pre-made templates available to make this game easier. The whole gameplay consists of jumping on the fields marked with numbers. It is a great "fitness test" for the youngest ones and keeping balance - because you jump on one leg. Leg changes can be made for difficulty and increased concentration.

BOWLING IN THE SNOW

Now it's time for winter backyard games. The first is bowling in the snow. Simply set up plastic training cones and use a ball (can be a handball) to knock over as many of them as possible. In the snow, the colorful cones will be highly visible, which is sure to intensify the kids' desire to win. To make it easier for them, you can use, for example, 3 trials per series. We guarantee you that children will not get bored with this game in a short time.

SNOWBALL FIGHT

A great activity during the winter is also a snowball fight. Just divide the kids into two teams and tell them the rules. It's a good idea to prepare "bases" in advance where the little ones can take shelter. It will be their job to make snowballs that will be ammunition. The team that manages to hit their opponents as many times as possible wins. The more people who participate in the game, the more fun it is! As a caregiver, however, keep safety in mind. Tell that everyone can only hit the legs and from a distance.

OBSTACLE COURSE

An obstacle course in the snow can be built with almost anything, including school sports equipment. You can use, among other things, for this:

A great idea during the winter is to finish the obstacle course with a snowball toss to a target. This type of backyard game is even made for physical education classes.
